The HTC Sensation is the latest phonHTC Senastione in the HTC range of Android run smartphones. It releases on June 15th 2011 and is a ‘multimedia superphone’. The HTC Sensation has a look similar to that of the HTC Desire S with an aluminium case which wraps around the phone. It isn’t the best looking phone but it is definitely one of the best under the hood. We have compiled some of the best HTC Sensation deals:

Featuring the HTC Sense user interface and the latest version of Android 2.3, Gingerbread, the HTC Sensation is very simple to use. The HTC Sensation has an impressive 1.2GHz dual core processor built in, lying it in direct competition with the Samsung Galaxy S 2. This processor is one of the most powerful made for phones and the dual core leads to impressive loading times and handles apps beautifully. Apps start almost instantly and switching between apps is a seamless transition. This extra processing power helps considerably when dealing with visually rich websites and those that use Flash. Sites that may have struggled to load quickly on previous HTC’s load quickly on the HTC Sensation. It also has an internal 768MB of RAM.

Like the HTC Desire HD the HTC Sensation has a large 4.3″ screen with a pixel resolution of 540×960 and a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. This pixel resolution is lower than the iPhone 4′s, 640×960, but nevertheless is an impressive feature. The HTC Sensation has the very latest QHD and SLCD technology, making images look even crisper than on the HTC Desire HD. Photos taken by the 8-MP back facing camera look great on screen. The 8-MP camera is the same as the HTC Desire HD which is much more impressive than that of the iPhone 4. You can also record videos in full 1080P HD, which is better than the 720P of the iPhone 4.

The HTC Sensation introduces the new HTC video store, Watch. Watch only offers TV shows and movies, not music currently and is supposed to be a rival to Apple’s media store iTunes. Watch allows you to download videos over 3G, as well as Wi-Fi, which look fantastic on the HTC Sensation’s 4.3″ screen.

The HTC Sensation weighs a hefty 148g which is heavy compared to other smartphones, in particular the light Samsung Galaxy S 2. It also has only 1GB of internal memory space. However this can be upgraded to 32Gb using a micro SD card. Below are some HTC Sensation Specs:

Dimensions: 126.1 x 65.4 x 11.3 mm
Weight: 148g
Screen size: 4.3 inches
Screen resolution: 540×960 pixels
Interal storage: 1GB
Memory: 768MB RAM
Camera: 8 MP, auto-focus, dual LED flash
OS: Android 2.3 (Gingerbread)
USB: Micros USB port
CPU: 1.2 GHz dual-processor, Qualcomm MSM 8260 Snapdragon

The HTC Sensation release date is June 15 2011. Once the prices are announced will bring you the best HTC Sensation deals.

UPDATE: The HTC Sensation is currently only available exclusively on Vodafone and will be available on other networks in June.

The mobile industry has seen some revolutionary mobile phones launched by Apple and HTC that are in great competition with each other. While Apple seem to be leading the smartphone market currently with the iPhone 4, HTC recently launched the android-oriented HTC Desire HD with a large screen. Here we have the iPhone 4 v HTC Desire HD:

HTC Desire HD v iPhone 4On comparing the display and looks, the HTC Desire HD has a stunning, huge 4.3″ screen and probably the biggest among current smartphones. On the other hand, the iPhone comes with a 3.5″ screen display; though with a higher resolution of 640×960 pixels compared to the Desire HD. However a down side of the Desire HD’s large screen is the large handset size.

HTC’s high-end device makes use of the Android 2.2 operating system while the iPhone makes use of the iOS4.1 operating system. iOS4.1 doesn’t have Flash capabilities whilst the HTC Desire HD makes use of Flash 10, giving the HTC a more rounded and better browsing experience. However, no one has beaten the Apple’s product in terms of the applications on offer. With over 250,000 applications to choose from from the App Store,  the iPhone 4 surely has a foot ahead of the Desire HD in this context, where there are only 80,00 apps to choose from.

Both, the iPhone 4 and Desire HD have a wonderful sound system but the Dolby surround sound in the HTC Desire HD places it a little ahead. The Dolby mobile integration provides stunningly clear visuals and stunning sound. As Apple are pretty hot with music you would expect the sound quality on the iPhone to be a little better!

The 8-MP camera with dual LED flash of the HTC Desire HD puts it far in front of the iPhone in terms of camera quality. The iPhone 4 has only the single LED flash and a 5-MP camera. OS4.1 introduced HDR to the iPhone 4 which does increase the quality of pictures but can be slow to work at times.

Now down to one of the most important things, price. We all know the iPhone 4 is a pricey product but there are some good deals around currently. A sim free iPhone 4 16GB will set you back about £500 currently whilst a sim free HTC Desire HD will set you back about £450. You can get the iPhone 4 16GB free on a contract starting from £35 on Vodafone, check out this free iPhone Vodafone deal. The HTC Desire HD is available fro free from just £25 a month on Orange, check out HTC Desire HD Orange.

All in all, there is no doubt that the iPhone 4 is the best iPhone made by Apple but the HTC Desire HD rivals it well and may well even be a better phone in terms of features and price.

The HTC Desire HD Orange is one of the best smartphones on the market  and rivals the iPhone 4, see iPhone 4 v HTC Desire HD.

HTC Desire HD

Some of the awesome features on the HTC Desire HD Orange include the wonderful connectivity under the quad bands of GSM network as well as under the HSDPA network. The HTC Desire HD Orange has a massive 4.3 inches AMOLED touchscreen which has a resolution of 480×800 pixels. The HTC Desire HD has  allow internal memory of 4GB but can be increased using a micro SD card to a large 32GB. It also has a very good 8-MP camera which feature auto-focus and a dual LED flash. The Desire HD runs the Android 2.2 operating system with several standard features such as the HTC web browser, compatible with flash, and various other entertainment features. We have compiled some of the best HTC Desire HD contracts available on Orange.

So the latest iPhone announcement came and went but we didn’t see any news on the iPhone 5 Release Date. Instead we saw the release and announcement of the iPhone 4S much to the disappointment to iPhone fans worldwide. So when i the iPhone 5 going to be released?

At the moment it doesn’t seem likely till mid 2012. The average days for an iPhone is 298 days, we are only 54 days into the iPhone 4S’s cycle. The iPhone 4S was released on October 4th 2011 so 298 days from then is late July. So is that when we will see the iPhone 5 released?

Original May 29th 2011 iPhone 5 Release Date Speculation:
There is much speculation about the iPhone 5 release date. The iPhone is one of the most popular and sought after phones currently on the market so people are eager to see what the iPhone 5 looks like. There are always rumors about when it is going to be released, with the recent availability of the White iPhone 4 many don’t think the iPhone 5 release date will be announced soon.

However this week there have been lots of whispers that the new iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S, depending on who you believe, will be announced at Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference, the WWDC, starting a week on Monday.

The annual event, due to start on Monday 6 June, was thought to be all about Apple software; iOS, Mac OS X and the eagerly anticipated cloud music service from Apple. New reports, however, suggest that the new iPhone 5 will be announced. Journalists from the UK and Australia have apparently been sent last-minute invites to WWDC 2011 from the iPhone PR team.

This news comes a week after a UK Phones4u employer announced that the iPhone 5 (or maybe the iPhone 4s) will be released in the UK on the 21st November. The customer sales representative was quoted to say “the iPhone 5 has been delayed until November following an issue with the handset’s software.” A November iPhone 5 release date would coincide with the rumors that the iPhone 5 will be announced at Apple’s annual September keynote.

The Phones4u sales representative also said “the iPhone 5 has been delayed until November but the only difference between the 4 and the 5 is software updates, that’s the only difference.” This would lead you to believe that the new iPhone will be called the iPhone 4S and not the iPhone 5.iPhone 5 Release Date

Many think the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, will  have a metal plate back, similar to previous iPhones. This image leaked by a reliable source at Foxconn, the Chinese manufacturer of the iPhone. He said the the metal backing will resolve the highly publicised antenna problem. It replaces the easily breakable glass back that the iPhone 4 sported.

This metal backed iPhone looks to also compliment the rumors that the iPhone 5 will most likely be a major software update and not a massive overhaul of the appearance of the iPhone 4.

This all speculation though, who knows when the iPhone 5 realse date will actually be? Will we find out next week?

One thing we know for sure is that will have all the best iPhone 5 deal once it is released! Or will it be the iPhone 4S?

UPDATE: Apple have announced that the iPhone 5 / iPhone 4S is not on the list for WWDC 2011. Although they have confirmed that iOS 5, the operating system that iPhone 5 / iPhone 4S will have will be announced. This leaves much speculation to when the iPhone 5 release data actually is. Although the September keynote does look like the likely announcement follwed by the iPhone 5 release in November.

Thinking about getting an iPhone but don’t know which network is best for an iPhone 4? Well don’t worry we are here to help!

According to the YouGov iPhone iTrack survey done last year, Orange have the highest percentage of customers who want to change network, 15%. This is closely followed by T-Mobile, 14%, who are now partnered with Orange. Vodafone and 3 were joint lowest, with only 9% of customers planning to move network. This data can be seen in the graph below:

Best iPhone NetworkHere are the reasons why Orange iPhone users wanted to change network:

  • 58% say that they are disappointed with Orange’s network
  • 39% say that they can get a more reliable service elsewhere
  • 29% say Orange is expensive

These figures show that Orange need to do more to satisfy customer satisfaction and are probably not the greatest network for iPhones.

So who is?

According to the survey 3 (Three) and Vodafone were the best network for iPhones. A low 9% of customers were planning on moving networks. Showing that the customer satisfaction on the two networks are a set above the rest. 22% of users who said they were planning on leaving their network said they were going to move to Vodafone. 20% said they were going to move to O2, maybe due to their long lasting presence in the iPhone market.
